The British telecom service provider O2 which counts 23 million customers, has recently opened its new Flagship store in Manchester.
Designed by talented agency Dalziel et Pow, the store is intended to be both inspirational and experiential. Sounds you heard this rap many times before ?
OK. Let’s take a closer look to see what really happens there.
- At three times the size of O2’s typical stores, the location comprises over 2,300 square feet of floor space showcasing the very latest technology, interactive ‘inspire zones’ and roving technology tutorials.
- It is a “human” store though, where expert O2 Gurus associates provide the visitors with advices and demos.
- It is a “test and learn” facility. Contrary to many traditional, functional and often uninviting mobile phone store, O2 Flagship aims to be relaxed, agile and social. Customers on any network are encouraged to connect with the store in the way that suits them, to enhance their daily lives – whether they want to have a complimentary coffee and work remotely on their laptops at the community table, hear about the latest local music events, charge their phone or take a workshop with an 02 gurus.
- Thanks to the versatile design, the store will be regularly updated to tell relevant stories, ensuring customers always have something fresh to discover and a reason to go in store. Hereafter, the store features a “Star Wars experience”.
