WHO ARE THE MAIN HOSTELS OPERATORS ON THE MARKET ?

1 – GENERATOR HOSTELS

The British Group has been created in the mid-90’s and has been one of the most dynamic operator so far with more than 8,000 beds throughout Europe. The group is expecting running 20 Hostels by 2018.

The latest hostels opened are setting up events and leisure activities such as live concerts, DJ sets fashion and runways on a regular basis. The group aims to turn Hostels into vibrant and cultural venues for Millenials, eager to live exciting experiences when travelling.

2 – SAINT CHRISTOPHER’S INNS

St Christopher’s inns, a branch of Irish group Beds and Bars, runs 10 Hostels in Europe, of which 6 are in London.

A Belushi Bar is systematically present in the Hostels and provide visitors with food and drinks as well as live music shows or live international sport on screen everyday. Belushi Bar accounts for a great deal of revenues for the Hostels, which makes up for the lower fares of the bedrooms.

3 – WOMBATS HOTELS

Wombats Hotels is an Austrian corporation that runs 5 Hostels in Central Europe.

4 – ACE HOSTELS GROUP

Based in à Portland, Ace Hostels operates 6 Hostels in the US and 1 in London.

5 – MENNINGER GROUP

Established in Berlin since 1999, the German group runs 16 Hostels in 10 Central European cities.

6 – THE FREEHAND

2 Hostels in Miami and Chicago.
